Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information The Sports Bible (“SportsBible”, “we”) collects when you use sportsbible.io and the SportsBible browser extension, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It is part of our Terms of Service.
1. Information we collect

2. How we use it
- to create and run your account and membership, and to process payments;
- to provide the Service: your saved slips, followed games, alerts, profile and community features;
- to answer your Sports Agent questions;
- to understand which features and leagues are used, fix problems, keep the Service secure and prevent abuse;
- to send account emails (sign-in, confirmation, password reset, billing notices);
- to meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or use advertising or analytics trackers.
3. Who we share it with
Only with service providers who handle it for us under contract, and only what each needs:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage (all account data).
- Railway: application hosting (all data passes through it).
- Stripe: payments and membership billing (email, payment and billing details).
- Resend: delivery of account emails (email address).
- MiniMax, and a web search provider when an answer needs current news: Sports Agent questions and the sports data used to answer them.
Other members see your username, profile photo, bio and posts. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of people or the Service, or to a buyer as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business, under this policy. Sports data providers we use (such as ESPN, The Odds API, Kalshi and Polymarket) receive no personal information from us.
4. Cookies and device storage
We use cookies only to keep you signed in, and your browser’s storage to remember preferences on your device, such as which game a copied slip is connected to. The browser extension keeps a captured slip in your browser’s session storage until you save or discard it or close the browser. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account exists. When you delete your account we delete your profile, photo, posts, saved items, slips and usage records. Copies can remain in encrypted backups for a short period until they expire. Stripe keeps its own payment records as the law requires. We keep a record of changes our administrators make, for accountability.
6. Your choices and rights
- See and download your data: Account page, Your data, Download my data.
- Correct it: Account page settings, or contact us.
- Delete your account and data: Account page, Your data, Delete my account. This cancels your membership immediately.
- Cancel your membership without deleting your account: Account page, Manage billing.
Depending on your state, you may have other rights, such as to know what we collect or to appeal a decision about a request. We honour these requests for all US members. Email charles@sportsbible.io and we will respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.
7. Security
Data travels over encrypted connections, access to it is restricted by database rules and to the few people who run the Service, and administrative changes are logged. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you we will tell you as the law requires.
8. Age
SportsBible is only for people 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe someone under 21 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Where your data is processed
We are based in the United States. Our service providers may process data in the United States and in other countries where they operate.
10. Changes
We will update this policy when our practices change and change the effective date above. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the Service before it takes effect.
